The basic flow
An employee looks at a phone or kiosk camera. The system converts the face into a numeric template, compares it with enrolled templates and marks attendance on a match — usually in a second or two and without touching any device.
Kiosk vs personal phone
Kiosk mode uses one shared tablet at the gate, which suits factories and offices. Personal-phone mode suits field teams, combined with GPS so attendance is only valid at an approved site.
Stopping cheating
Common tricks include proxy punching, photos of faces and fake GPS apps. Good systems combine liveness checks, spoof-location detection and admin alerts for abnormal patterns.
Working with biometric machines you already own
You do not have to discard existing fingerprint devices. Their punches can be synced into the same attendance database so payroll uses a single source.
From attendance to salary
The real time-saving is downstream: attendance feeds leave balances, overtime and salary calculation automatically, cutting month-end effort from days to hours.
